Field Service Lead – $33+ (Hourly + $75 per diem when out in field) -JOURNEYMAN/ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (5 years minimum experience)JOURNEYMAN LICENSE NOT REQUIRED. HELPFUL IF THEY HAVE IT!
 
Requirements:
 
Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime. Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department. Lead employees within the field service department. Directing employees’ work; providing for the safety of the employees; planning the work; determining the techniques to be used; apportioning the work among the workers. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Must demonstrate and exhibit professional qualities when speaking with employees, whether in a one-on-one scenario or a group setting. Responsibilities will include planning, assigning, and directing work; resolving problems. Two to three years as an electrical journeyman; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment. 5 years of lead/supervisory experience. 70% Travel - $75/hr a day for meals and incidentals. Company covers travel, fuel, and lodging. Overtime - Most weeks are 50 hour weeks. That is 10 hours of overtime. There is sometimes more.
 
Job Description:
 
  • Responsible for on-site field visits to supervise the installation of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment and perform routine repairs.
  • Partner with customers to ensure excellent communication and service.
  • Responsible to insure all new or modified installations of equipment and electrical components have been completed to ensure full functionality according to applicable industry standards, company standards, and customer specifications.
  • Review performance reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment to determine nature and scope of problem.
  • Analyze inspection reports to determine source of problem.
  • Make repairs, replacements, or other corrective actions. Coordinates problem resolutions with Field Service, Engineering, and other inter-company departments to expedite repairs.
  • Maintains records of reports.
  • Responsible for submitting reports to the Field Service Supervisor.
  • Provides recommendations to Field Service Supervisor on recurring equipment problems noted in the field to instigate corrective action in design, production, and/or service to eliminate future problems.
