Job Description

We are seeking motivated team members to join our Team, specifically in the water resources discipline.

Our Team coordinates with private land developers, Corporations, Municipalities, and Transportation DOT’s/ Agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

As a result, you have the opportunity to work with many different clients and types of projects within several of the offices in the company.  This is an opportunity for every employee to be involved with a project where their capabilities, and expertise is needed.   

These individuals will support various projects by performing a wide range of water resources related tasks. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management and drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics and scour analysis, and plan and report preparation.  

Our client is currently seeking a Water Resources/H&H Engineer with the following job responsibilities:

  • Engineer will support H&H, ES&C, drainage and SWM tasks associated with projects for multiple clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus in Pennsylvania and the opportunity to provide design work to surrounding states.
  • At a minimum the engineer will interact with internal staff and clients regarding the development and design of projects.
  • Engineer will be responsible for the development of project plans, and the associated technical reports, quantities, and specifications.  If task or project management is an aspiration then the opportunity to manage tasks/projects scope, schedule, and budget will be provided.
  • Perform occasional field data collection and site visits.
  • This position will offer diversified projects and assignments with different clients.

Required Attributes:

  • Required Education: BSCE
  • FE/EIT, PE Preferred
  • Years of work experience:  5-12 years in water resources engineering.
  • Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review and plan and report preparation.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System.
  • Experience with plan production via AutoCAD and MicroStation with design experience (3D modeling) strongly preferred.   
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT and/or DCDOT is a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.

Computer Skills Required:

AutoCAD, Microstation, PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Watershed Modeling System, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range - $85k to $135k - salary is negotiable.
