Reports to the Board of Directors

Duties and Responsibilities: Bilingual Arabic required

  • Provide leadership and manage daily activities, staff, and operations of the school
  • Develop and support intellectually rigorous and coherent systems of instruction and assessment to promote each student’s academic success and well-being
  • Establish goals based on student achievement data and develop and track benchmarks for measuring school success
  • Create a supportive and nurturing environment in which students can excel and prosper
  • Celebrate and reward success, and proactively intervene to remedy shortcomings
  • Inspire, mentor, evaluate, manage, and support teachers and staff to maximize their potential
  • Utilize the walkthrough process to engage in two-way communication and collaboration with teachers to promote continuous improvement
  • Implement and enforce discipline and the highest ethical standards at all levels
  • Meet with students, parents, and administrators on regular basis for problem resolution
  • Provide regular reports to the school board, make recommendations, and participate in decision making for operations, budgets, and academic and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5-years (7 or more desired) of direct experience as a Principal in a PK-12 environment
  • Current Principal Certificate at time of application
  • 3 years (5 or more desired) of teaching experience in an accredited school
  • BS in education or related fields. MS or PhD is preferred.
  • Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) is desired
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership, community service, youths mentoring, and outreach initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to provide instructional leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to assess student learning
