Position: Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing and guiding the national sales team to accomplish set objectives. This role involves close collaboration with sales representatives, offering direction, assistance, and ensuring the attainment of sales goals. Strategic acumen, exceptional leadership qualities, a positive demeanor, and adeptness at driving sales initiatives are fundamental to excel in this position.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Cultivate and empower a high-performing team comprising 15+ sales representatives.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation to ensure the team consistently meets or surpasses sales targets.
  • Conduct routine performance assessments and implement tailored improvement strategies when necessary.

Sales Strategy:

  • Formulate and execute sales strategies aimed at bolstering revenue growth within the designated customer base of sales representatives.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends and competitor activities to discern opportunities and threats.
  • Foster synergy with the marketing department to align sales strategies with overarching business objectives.

Goal Setting and Monitoring:

  • Establish both ambitious yet achievable sales targets for the team and individual representatives.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance vis-à-vis targets, scrutinize variances, and enact corrective measures as warranted.

Customer & Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Foster and sustain robust relationships with key customers and vendor/brands.
  • Promptly address customer concerns and issues to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and pertinent metrics to senior management.
  • Harness data and analytics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and implement strategies to elevate sales efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management and business development.
  • Proficiency in prospecting and conducting sales calls across diverse customer segments.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales, consistently achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and problem-solving; proficiency in Advanced Excel is essential.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time.
 
Must have experience working with or for distributors
 
This is a work in the office position.
