Looking for a well-rounded Branch Manager to join a solid, thriving NVOCC/freight forwarder in the JFK area. You'll be working with a stable organization that values their employees and has been around for half a century!

Main Responsibilities:
Manage and grow small office of sales and operations.
Drive branch activities towards continuous growth and profitability, while maintaining compliance and ensuring well-being of staff.
Work with sales to create and achieve targets.
Collaborate with overseas partners to close business.
Oversee all financial aspects i.e. budget creation, P&L, revenue, expenses, billing and invoicing.
Improve KPIs and SOPs for all ocean and air operations. Participate in sales calls to close and retain accounts.
Negotiate rates and terms with vendors and customers.
Hire, discipline, fire, mentor and guide team members. Promote culture of exemplary customer service.
Anticipate potential problems and resolve escalations.
Requirements:
Appx. 8-10 years in freight forwarding, with minimum 5 years managerial experience.
Ability to increase revenue and control expenses.
Knowledge of air/ocean FCL/LCL in TPEB/TPWB trades.
Excellent leadership, sales, data analysis, and communication skills.
Willing to travel nationally and overseas if needed.
Proficiency in CargoWise.
