Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their Insurance Defense/Personal Injury Defense team. This role involves independently managing a caseload and working alongside senior litigators on high-exposure matters involving:
- Auto and trucking accidents
- Premises liability claims
- Construction site incidents
- General negligence matters
Responsibilities include:
- Handling cases from inception to resolution
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Attending court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Engaging directly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California Bar license (in good standing)
- 3–10+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance or personal injury defense
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to handle cases with autonomy and contribute to a collaborative team environment
