Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Chiller Technician to lead maintenance, testing, andtroubleshooting efforts for our HVAC fleet, with a specific focus on large tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers. This role is integral to ensuring all equipment operates at peak efficiency while maintaining accurate documentation of all work performed.
 
Work Schedule:This position may require working a rotating on-call schedule and being available for evenings,weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Travel may also be necessary. Overtime anddouble-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary technician for large tonnage air conditioning systems, chillers, andassociated equipment located on-site, responsible for troubleshooting, pre-deploymenttesting, and repair services.
  • Undertake special projects, including researching obsolete replacement parts andevaluating refrigeration conversion options for existing equipment.
  • Serve as a key contact as our rental fleet transitions to remote monitoring systems.
  • Mentor and train new Chiller and Service Technicians, particularly those at MobileAir/Resolute branches and depots, fostering skill development and team collaboration.
  • Play an active role in our Turnkey program for chiller and large air conditioning rentalinstallations, contributing technical expertise and operational support.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to teamobjectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with large tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment,including a solid understanding of system applications.
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems and chillers.
  • Universal Certification is required.
  • Strong consultative and leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide and develop teammembers.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with demonstrated experience indata entry and reporting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer use, including internet navigation, email communications, order-entry systems, and relevant software applications as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and demonstrate strong professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting practices.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) are mandatory.
  • Successfully pass a background check
