A growing 503A pharmacy in Texas looking for an all-star Sterile and non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Dallas area. The job is a full-time salaried position. Relocation assistance will be provided for the highly qualified candidates. Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience with sterile compounding and a valid Texas state license as a registered pharmacist. Strong out of state candidates will be considered, but must initiate the licensing process immediately
  • Doctor of Pharmacy with advanced training and additional certifications will be preferred
  • Experience with BHRT and Functional Medicine with A4M or IFM certifications will be bonus
  • Experienced in all phases of sterile and non-sterile compounding including workflow, regulatory process, and SOPs
  • Highly experienced in USP 800, 797 and 795 compliances
  • New Formula Development Experience
  • Previous experience in managing compliance
  • Quality assurance including Internal and External testing activities
  • Board-Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) certification and GMP experience will be a bonus
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy operations
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians
  • Familiarity with PK Compounder Application
  • Proficiency in communicating with physicians and nurses including in-services
  • Experience in collaborative practice agreement with physicians.
  • Previous experience in Hormone and nutritional consultation
  • Passionate desire to learn and execute functional medicine and alternative therapies
  • Superb multi-tasking and organizational ability
  • Clear background and drug test

 

Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee preparation of sterile intravenous admixture solutions, non-sterile compounded medications, procurement, and shipping of admixtures in compliance with pharmacy SOPs, FDA, BOP and DEA regulations
  • Perform quality assurance and verifications during compounding process
  • Responsible for supervising all aspects of aseptic processing, helping formulate and improve SOP & batch records, participating in product development initiatives, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
  • Responsible for ordering, storing, and handling controlled and non-controlled substances
  • Able to develop new Master formulations depending on patient needs and accountability to maintain the proprietary formulations
  • Responsible to maintain environmental monitoring of clean rooms (Temperatures, pressures, and checking incubator samples) and documenting as needed for quality control
  • Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications to the Quality Control unit and take necessary actions
  • Must be able to handle and host all Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory inspections. Able to maintain all required documentation and respond promptly
  • Responsible to maintain complete, accurate, and compliant documentation as per state and federal guidelines and requirements
  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing pharmacy methods and procedures and/offers new ideas, as part of the department's quality improvement effort
  • Participates in the maintenance and cleaning of the compounding environment, equipment, and tools as required
  • Actively participates in the training, education, and mentoring of other pharmacy technicians, interns, and students
  • Able to maintain all competencies and required documentation for the pharmacy personnel/team
  • Responsible for providing counseling to the patients on the use of medicines, side effects, and providing patient guidance on medication therapies and related questions when needed
  • Interact with Sales and management team and help with new lines of business including formula creations, researching clinical question, clinical review of marketing material etc
  • Inventory management including ordering and price negotiation with vendors
