Labor & Employment Associate – California
Locations: Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley office
 
Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a dynamic, motivated associate with 3-4 years of Labor & Employment Litigation experience to join a nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in either their Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley office.
  • Experience required:
    • California wage and hour class action litigation
    • PAGA claims
    • Single plaintiff employment litigation
    • Employee handbooks
    • Day-to-day advice and counseling
    • Strong legal writing skills
    • Discovery, motion practice, taking and defending depositions
    • Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
    • Trial preparation in state and federal courts (preferred)
    • Participation in settlement conferences and negotiations (preferred)
  • Associate must have:
    • Positive attitude
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional work ethic
    • Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills
    • Ability to thrive in busy, collegial environments and work as part of a cohesive team.
  • Top academics and top law firm experience required
  • Must hold a JD from a Top 50 ABA-approved law school
  • Must be in good standing and an active member of the California Bar at time of hire
