Responsibilities
\n--Develop and execute the site’s strategic safety plan aligned with regulations and corporate goals.
\n--Lead safety culture transformation and promote hazard recognition, stop-work authority, and accountability.
\n--Serve as liaison with OSHA, DOT, DHS, and local emergency agencies.
\n--Oversee programs such as Behavior-Based Safety, Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Permitting, and contractor safety.
\n--Monitor performance metrics, conduct investigations, and lead root cause analyses.
\n--Manage emergency response planning, fire protection readiness, training, and crisis leadership.
\n--Collaborate on safety training, corporate initiatives, and resource allocation.

Qualifications
\n--Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
\n--10+ years of progressive safety leadership in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
\n--Proven experience implementing strategic safety and Behavior-Based Safety programs.
\n--Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and DHS regulations.
\n--CSP or equivalent certification preferred.
