Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner to join their team in Eureka, California. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing patient care across various hospital units, ensuring optimal health outcomes through technical and clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients of all ages in Critical Care, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Child Birth Center, Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and PACU units.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to monitor patient conditions and provide personalized respiratory care.
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary to maximize outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and homecare protocols to ensure long-term success.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all hospital and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate of a respiratory therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.

California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

2+ years of full-time, hospital-based acute care experience in settings that include critical care, emergency, and neonatal care.
- Expertise in handling advanced respiratory equipment and therapies, including critical care ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and arterial blood gas analysis.

Candidate Details:Our ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in respiratory care within an acute care hospital setting. They must demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a passion for patient-focused care. No management experience required. The candidate should be prepared to work night shifts, and no travel is required.
