Member of Technical Staff – Data & ML Systems
Location: New York, NY (Flatiron)
Compensation: $150K–$300K + equity
Hiring: 2+ candidates
Work Mode: On-site, 5 days/week

Role Overview
An innovative AI platform transforming accounting and finance workflows is seeking Data/ML Engineers to own and improve evaluation systems for AI agents. You’ll manage data, run experiments, and architect frameworks that ensure AI systems perform at scale, directly powering complex workflows.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead data labeling strategies, synthetic data generation, and experiment design.

Build and maintain systems to benchmark AI/ML model performance.

Collaborate closely with research and engineering teams to improve model and product performance.

Own projects end-to-end, from design to execution, with high individual ownership.

Qualifications
-
3–7 years of experience in data-heavy workflows, experiment design, and project management.

1+ years at a startup or small fast-paced company with individual ownership of projects.

Experience in ML model evaluation or AI systems benchmarking at a top company.

Strong skills in Python, Postgres, and building systems for testing/feedback loops.

Clear communicator, able to break down complex concepts.

Excited about AI’s impact on finance and accounting.

Degree from a top 30 university.
