What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage complex power systems studies, including:

    • Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (NFPA 70E)

    • Short Circuit & Load Flow Studies

    • Protective Device Coordination

  • Review, validate, and finalize models, results, and technical reports.

  • Serve as a client liaison for project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Mentor and coach junior engineers through technical challenges and project execution.

  • Ensure all studies comply with IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and internal QA/QC standards.

  • Support system commissioning and provide field-based technical guidance.

  • Conduct or contribute to internal and external training sessions.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

  • Licensed PE in Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity (required)

  • 8+ years of direct experience in power system analysis and design

  • Proficiency with one or more of the following: ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower

  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and NEC

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage in a technical setting

  • Effective communicator with clients, internal teams, and field personnel

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • NETA affiliation or exposure to NETA testing standards

  • Familiarity with industrial, utility, and mission-critical infrastructure environments

  • Experience conducting QA/QC reviews and technical training
