Our client, a Custom Home Builder, seeks a skilled Senior Residential Drafter to produce meticulous construction drawings and elevations and help mentor more junior-level drafters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Drawing Sets: Craft comprehensive construction drawings, including intricate details, elevations, sections, and electrical plans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with various departments—Design, Production, Customer Service, and Field—to incorporate crucial information into the plans effectively.
• Process Enhancement: Contribute to refining and upholding consistent processes while actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Deadline Adherence: Perform efficiently within designated timelines for each project, maintaining quality and precision.

Qualifications:

• AAS Degree in Architectural Drafting & Design or similar
• AutoCAD Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD software, proficiently translating designs into precise 2D drafts.
• Meticulous Detailing: Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach in adhering to established standards.
• Technical Acumen: Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering data relevant to lumber, truss, and footings for implementation into drawings. Knowledge of brace wall panels.
• Residential Expertise: Extensive experience in residential new construction, particularly in custom homes. 7+ years of architectural drafting experience, with the majority being in residential.
• Leadership Aptitude: Demonstrate leadership qualities to help elevate the department’s standards and mentor more junior staff.
