Job Summary:

Our client has an immediate need for a highly driven and energetic and personable ASP .NET Full-Stack Developer to work within the client's existing Agile development teams, creating and supporting highly-visible and high-demand public-facing websites and mobile-friendly/mobile-first web applications.​  This is a 6-month contract to permanent assignment and the role is 100% remote.

The selected candidate will work as part of an established and collaborative Agile development team to support creating and maintaining mission-critical web-based software applications and high-visibility/​high-demand Federal Government websites.​  Candidates may work on multiple related projects with a single government client at any given time.  Daily work touches on projects in all stages of development and release, ranging from project vision definition, roadmap development, conceptualization/architecture recommendations, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, and refactoring.​  Work and responsibilities at this level will include executing product vision as defined by the Product Owners.  The .NET developer works closely with the development team, including graphic designers and the Scrum Master, to define/refine stories, the definition of done, and acceptance criteria.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Experience developing system software applications in MS Visual Studio 2017 or higher using ASP .NET (VB or C#), MVC, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

·       Design, analyze, integrate, develop, migrate, test, implement and maintain computer applications, including new computer applications or version upgrades to existing applications that meet business, security, accessibility, and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements.

·       Use Microsoft SQL Server database management systems and develop stored procedures and/or create SQL statements to meet requirements.

·       Apply software design concepts and methods sufficient to provide technical guidance to a multi-functional development project using Agile methodologies in software analysis, design, development, and implementation for a new system or major enhancement to an existing system. Experience working on an Agile development team.

·       Collaborate with project stakeholders on software development, maintenance, and troubleshoot to resolve application and system issues.

·       Provide customer support to IT system users.

·       Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

·       Optional/Nice to Have: ActivePDF experience for document processing (Serenity developers only)

                            

 

Requirements:

·       Experience developing desktop and mobile applications

·       Familiarity with common stacks.

·       Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).

·       Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).

·       Familiarity with databases web servers and UI/UX design.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·       Great attention to detail.

·       Organizational skills.

·       An analytical mind.

·       Comfort in working as technical members of an Agile team (Scrum or Kanban).

This position requires expertise commensurate with a high-level developer, with at least five (5) years of experience and BS in Computer Science or related field.  Minimum five years of experience in application development is required.  The successful candidate must have demonstrable knowledge of new tools and technologies for innovative application development.
