Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at theManhattan OR Boca Raton, FL office (with hybrid flexibility after 6 months, subject to performance and tenure).

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 10 years of accounting and finance experience, including experience with reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial reporting for complex domestic and international entities.

Job Description

  • Manage all accounting and finance functions for domestic and international entities, including trusts, holding companies, real estate, and investment vehicles
  • Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and consolidations across multiple jurisdictions (primarily U.S. and Switzerland)
  • Oversee financial reporting through a proprietary Addepar-style system
  • Handle extensive account reconciliations for multiple global accounts
  • Perform hands-on accounting tasks while supervising a junior controller/bookkeeper
  • Liaise with external accountants, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax obligations
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to the principals, with occasional exposure to fund accounting and investment-related data
  • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail in all reporting and communications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience (5+ years relevant to trusts, holding companies, or similar structures)
  • Strong proficiency with general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional accounting (U.S. and international)
  • Prior exposure to family office, private equity, fund accounting, or trust structures preferred
  • CPA designation is helpful but not required
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to thrive in a small-team environment
  • Proven stability in prior roles
