We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This role involves traveling to various job sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment — primarily in fast food and gas station restaurant settings. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, self-sufficient, and capable of problem-solving in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive a company vehicle and safely tow a 12-foot tandem axle trailer
Conduct service maintenance on kitchen equipment, including temperature readings and troubleshooting
Determine whether repair issues are within scope or require manufacturer warranty service
Take and upload detailed photographs of all installations using company Share Drive
Pick up and deliver materials to job sites and the fabrication shop as needed
Use cordless power tools and standard hand tools (grinders, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
Maintain accurate documentation and complete tasks using a smartphone or tablet
Collaborate effectively with a Spanish-speaking workforce (Spanish fluency is a plus)
Operate independently while demonstrating excellent time management and critical thinking
Qualifications:
Must have a clean background check and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
Experience driving a truck with a 12-foot tandem axle trailer
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues
Comfortable using smartphones and basic computer applications
Fluent in Spanish or comfortable working closely with Spanish-speaking teams
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Must be comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays (up to 3x/week)
Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials and tools as needed
