POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing core accounting functions across our clients portfolio while also supporting light HR coordination and office administration. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, can seamlessly shift between strategic and tactical tasks, and values contributing to organizations making a difference beyond the bottom line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash Management

  • Monitor daily cash balances across 13+ accounts
  • Apply cash in AR/AP systems
  • Complete monthly bank account reconciliations

Accounts Payable

  • Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
  • Oversee biweekly check processing

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage collections and follow up on past due accounts
  • Support invoicing for operating companies

Human Resources Support

  • Coordinate onboarding for approximately 5 new employees annually
  • Approve bi-monthly payrolls via third-party provider
  • Record payroll journal entries in the general ledger

Month-End Close

  • Prepare journal entries
  • Perform basic income statement analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy

Office Administration

  • Maintain office coverage Monday–Friday
  • Serve as point of contact for building-related matters (HVAC, security, vendors)
  • Welcome and assist visitors

Additional Duties

  • Assist with tax-related matters as needed
  • Partner with the CFO to prepare businesses for GAAP audits and other compliance projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Associate’s degree plus extensive experience will be considered)
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • QuickBooks Enterprise experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
  • Team player with high integrity and professionalism under pressure
