Client needs an experienced Lowboy operator to haul heavy equipment, pipe, and construction supplies to and from project work site.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

The Lowboy Driver/Operator’s responsibilities include safely and efficiently loading and unloading material and equipment, and adhering to all company policies, DOT, and MSHA regulations

Added job tasks

o    Ability to self-permit or willingness to learn

o    Comply with Federal/State DOT regulations

o    Load securement training

 

·         Load and unload heavy equipment

·         Perform daily safety and maintenance checks in accordance with DOT and Company standards

·         Clean and maintain truck’s equipment and supplies

·         Practice workplace safety

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         Must have a Class A CDL.

·         At least 3 years of experience handling heavy haul up to 80 tons gross weight

·         Ability to drive in a safe and responsible manner – needs a good driving record

·         Adept at learning the basic operation of a wide variety of equipment in order to lad and transport them safely

·         Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

·         Ability to communicate effectively in English.

·         Load and unload heavy equipment

·         Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records.

·         Time management skills

·         Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 3 moving violations in 3 years.

·         Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screenings.

·         Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
