COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity to work with an experienced and dynamic group of trial attorneys representing clients across various industries, including energy, aerospace, life sciences, and technology.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Admission to and good standing with the Illinois Bar.
  • 1–6 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation, product liability, or other complex litigation matters.
  • Strong experience in drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing document productions.
  • A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to lead case management efforts and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail and legal analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including product liability, trade secrets, securities, and bankruptcy disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs in high-stakes litigation matters.
  • Take and defend depositions and argue discovery and dispositive motions in both state and federal courts.
  • Manage case strategy and client communication, ensuring top-tier legal representation.
  • Work closely with senior litigators on trial preparation, mediation, and arbitration strategies.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and technology.
