Location

This position is on-site full-time in Albion, MI — a close-knit community offering an affordable cost of living and easy access to larger metro areas like Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Kalamazoo. Relocation assistance is available.

Note Candidates must have a PE license (Structural Engineering license preferred). Experience in cold-formed steel design and CAD standards is highly desirable.

Their vertically integrated model—combining in-house engineering and fabrication—allows them to deliver best-in-class solar and structural solutions for the commercial fuel, solar, and satellite communication industries.

Job Description

  • Serve as an upper-level structural engineer supporting solar and industrial projects.
  • Perform detailed structural analysis and design across multiple materials and systems.
  • Review and approve design calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to define project scope and schedules.
  • Supervise 3–5 engineers and drafters to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
  • Develop cold-formed steel shop drawings and ensure CAD standards are maintained.
  • Apply IBC, AWC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, and AISI standards to project designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (SE a plus).
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with cold-formed steel, solar mounting systems, and design codes.
  • Leadership capability and desire to grow into a director-level role.
