EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – MID TO SENIOR LEVEL

Our client, a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Employment Litigation Practice in California. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation matters—including class action, single-plaintiff, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation—within a collaborative team serving major employers across industries.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 4+ years of substantive employment litigation experience
  • Experience representing employers in federal and California state employment matters
  • Exposure to class action and PAGA litigation preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of federal and California employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of complex litigation, including briefing, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
  • Prior experience at a large California defense firm or a smaller boutique firm handling sophisticated management-side employment matters
  • Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters, including class actions, PAGA actions, and single-plaintiff matters
  • Conduct factual investigations and manage complex discovery, including Electronically Stored Information (ESI)
  • Take and defend depositions and participate in court hearings and settlement conferences
  • Draft pleadings, substantive briefs, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents
  • Support case strategy and collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys
  • Advise clients on litigation risk and provide proactive, business-focused counsel

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Annual salary range of $255,000 – $330,000, as determined by experience and market factors
