(2 - 3-year contract)

A multi-format grocery retail, wholesale, franchise, and e-commerce business employing 1,000 associates across The Bahamas.

A senior-level leader who runs all Loss Prevention functions across all operations.  Oversees security, investigations, shrink reduction, fraud mitigation, audits, compliance programs, CCTV infrastructure, emergency response, and LP staffing.

A hands-on operational leadership role with multi-site accountability.

Top Responsibilities

1. Shrink & Loss Control

Develop companywide shrink-reduction strategies.

Audit POS activity, exception reports, and cash variances.

Identify, investigate, and resolve theft, fraud, and loss contributors.

Analyze trends and present targeted action plans to leadership.

2. Security Operations

Develop security protocols, policies, and field procedures.

Oversee guards, investigators, and facility-level safety programs.

Manage and audit all LP-related equipment and technology (CCTV, EAS, etc.).

Lead security planning for special events and emergency response.

3. Compliance & Risk Mitigation

Strengthen company's “Safety Culture.”

Conduct routine store audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.

Ensure adherence to asset protection standards and shoplifter apprehension processes.

Reduce inventory shortage, liability exposure, and safety risks.

4. Investigations

Lead internal and external investigations (theft, fraud, supply chain losses, inventory variances).

Interview witnesses and suspects.

Build complete case files; support law enforcement partnerships.

Prepare detailed reporting and testify in court as needed.

5. Leadership & Training

Direct LP staff (investigators, officers).

Build strong relationships with store leadership.

Deliver training across all levels of the company on safety, LP, asset protection, and compliance.

Set expectations, build standards, and reinforce AML’s ethical culture.

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in security or related discipline (or equivalent through certifications).

CFE or PCI required/preferred.

Strong investigative experience (criminal, retail theft, supply chain losses).

High proficiency in CCTV systems, surveillance, incident reporting, audits.

Functional understanding of retail operations.

Strong communication, critical thinking, observation skills.

Must handle flexible schedules and emergencies.

Ideal Candidate Traits

Former multi-store LP Manager, District LP Manager, or Regional LP Manager from grocery, big-box retail, warehouse clubs, or QSR with high-volume operations.

Strong investigative rigor and a calm, disciplined leadership style.

Familiar with Caribbean markets, island operations, or remote multi-site oversight (big plus).

Demonstrated success lowering shrink in operationally complex environments.

Strong trainer and communicator — values people who can build a culture, not just enforce rules.

High emotional intelligence and integrity.

Compensation Summary

Base Salary

$70,000 – $95,000 annually

Competitive range based on experience, investigation background, leadership depth, and multi-site retail exposure.

Management Incentive Plan (MIP)

20% of annual base salary (target)

Breakdown:

50% based on role-specific KPIs (shrink improvement, audit compliance, investigative outcomes, safety metrics, reporting accuracy).

50% based on Company Net Profit performance.

Allowances & Benefits

Housing Allowance - $35,000 annually

Designed to support relocation or cost-of-living requirements in Nassau.

Gas Allowance

$4,800 annually ($400/month)

Appropriate for multi-location travel across stores, distribution centers, and administrative facilities.
