We are recruiting on purpose a talented Project Engineer to join our growing Dallas team. This role involves leading structural design efforts through the full project lifecycle—from initial analysis and development to final documentation and delivery. The ideal candidate will contribute technical expertise, manage project timelines, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering analyses and develop designs from concept through final construction documents.

  • Guide and review drafting work to ensure accurate representation of your designs.

  • Coordinate with external design teams and contractors to ensure cohesive project execution.

  • Review plans for compliance with building codes and sound engineering practices.

  • Incorporate feedback from supervisors to refine skills and prepare for future project leadership.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

  • Apply appropriate standard details and markups to project documents.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams, including collaboration with engineers across office locations.

  • Review and familiarize yourself with project specifications and participate in Construction Administration (CA) as needed.

Qualifications:

  • PE or SE license required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5–10 years of experience in structural design and project execution.

  • Experience with RAM, Tekla Structural Designer, EnerCalc, Tedds, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Revit experience is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of commercial building codes and structural design references.

  • Familiarity with cold-formed steel detailing and general building construction practices.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to identify and apply applicable codes for specific jurisdictions.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Capable of producing organized, accurate, and well-documented structural calculations.

  • Ability to perform hand calculations and use software tools to verify and improve design quality.

  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to work in cross-office teams.
