Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group as a mid-level or senior associate. This nationally recognized team represents domestic and international insurers in complex, high-exposure matters involving property, time element, CGL coverage, and bad faith claims. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, lead components of major matters, and manage a diverse portfolio of complex coverage litigation.
Candidate Profile

JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record

Active Bar Admission in Georgia, in good standing, or willingness to obtain timely admission

3–8+ years of substantive experience in insurance coverage litigation
- Strong background in first-party property coverage required
- Experience handling declaratory judgment actions, coverage disputes, and bad faith litigation
- Demonstrated ability to draft coverage opinions, analyze policies, and provide strategic recommendations
- Experience taking examinations under oath and participating in depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Ability to supervise junior associates and paralegals
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and research skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex litigation matters and deadlines with minimal oversight

Key Responsibilities

Analyze first- and third-party insurance policies and prepare comprehensive coverage opinions
- Provide strategic coverage advice to insurers
- Take examinations under oath

Lead federal and state coverage litigation, including declaratory judgment actions and matters filed by policyholders

Draft and supervise drafting of pleadings, motions, briefs, and mediation statements

Draft and respond to discovery requests and subpoenas

Review and manage document productions from parties and third parties

Take and defend depositions

Attend hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
- Retain, direct, and manage experts and consultants
- Correspond with opposing counsel, clients, courts, and consultants

Delegate work effectively and oversee junior team members

Manage a significant caseload with independence, organization, and strategic judgment

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: Expected annual base salary range of $120,000–$200,000, as determined by experience and market factors
