Overview:

A well-established regional integrated healthcare system located in southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Pediatric Pathologist to join a collegial team in a supportive, academic-affiliated environment. The organization provides high-quality, compassionate healthcare services across multiple counties and includes several hospitals and a partnership with a medical school. It supports ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs and is committed to advancing clinical care, education, and research.

Position Summary:

The healthcare system is seeking an experienced Pediatric Pathologist to provide clinical leadership and collaborate across departments. This individual will join a multidisciplinary team including a full-time pathologist, transfusion medicine specialist, and microbiologist, working together to provide expert pediatric care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the pathology team and other departments to deliver comprehensive care.

  • Oversee CLIA and point-of-care (POC) testing licensure.

  • Participate in departmental quality initiatives and clinical research.

  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities every other weekend.

Position Highlights:

  • Annual pathology case volume of approximately 2,400.

  • Supportive laboratory team enabling focus on clinical and academic pursuits.

  • Integral role in both clinical operations and educational efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).

  • Fellowship training and board certification in Pediatric Pathology required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required (no visa sponsorship available).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ($275,000 – $300,000)

It is renowned for its services in cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, ENT, and gastroenterology, and operates one of the only pediatric burn centers in the region.
