Product Manager
Job Description
Position: Product Manager
Reports to: VP, Product Management
Location: Remote; must be a resident of New York State, Central NY preferred
Success Looks Like:
A successful Product Manager will consistently deliver high quality products which provide an engaging customer experience and support strategic initiatives. They will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, customers, and members of the Product Management team to define detailed requirements, value, and measure success within their focus of products. They will provide insights and up-to-date status to Executive Leadership to support their ability to make informed decisions, determine priority, and communicate go-to-market delivery dates with external stakeholders. The Product Manager will own and be accountable for their focus of products, from ideation to launch and support, by leading direct reports, delivery aligned resources, and measuring success through customer feedback.
Responsibilities:
This is a high-visibility role which requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, a passion for quality and customer experience, and full accountability and ownership, regardless of the role and organizational boundaries
· Work closely with the VP, Product Management, to align product roadmap with companies strategic initiatives
· Work closely, as a liaison and escalation point, for product aligned business stakeholders, customers, and Executive Leadership
· Work with and provide frequent communication to other Product Managers, PMO, VP of Product Management, and Executive Leadership, of up-to-date status, risk, delivery timeline, and measure of product success/value
· Lead and facilitate interactive cross-functional meetings, workshops, and interviews to gather key insights, problems, experiences, and translate to detailed use cases, functional requirements, and high value solutions with published product documentation
· Participate, measure, and be accountable for product support, from coordinating initial triage to following through resolution confirmation.
· Drive cross-functional process and data analysis to identify risk, impact, value, and key areas of improvement
· Lead, train, and provide career guidance to direct reports which may include Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers and other product-aligned resources.
· Assist and/or perform duties of direct reports to support availability and capacity within the product team to meet strategic deadlines.
· Work within and drive a positive team environment to gain and share knowledge
· Work within the team documented departmental processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Passion for customer success, quality, and driving value
· Strong Product Management experience and/or technical product delivery background
· Minimum 5 years of experience delivering products in healthcare or service-oriented industries
· Minimum 2 years of experience performing data analysis, business intelligence, and presentation to C-level leadership
· Strong experience leading a cross-functional team in a hybrid or remote environment
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to host and perform interactive workshops and presentations
· Experience with technical writing, creating and maintaining diagrams, workflows, and user-facing product documentation
· Familiar with product development test strategies including but not limited to concept testing, user testing, exploratory testing, and regression testing
· Experience with ITSM, CSM, and/or similar support processes
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment
· Experience in the medical industry is a plus
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
Travel Requirements:
· May be required to attend meetings in-person with colleagues primarily in the Syracuse area.
