Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Independence, OH
Reports To: Office Manager

Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for members, visitors, and callers to the Cleveland office. This role is responsible for ensuring professional, courteous, and efficient front-desk experience for all who contact or visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Greet and assist members, visitors, and the general public in person, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate department or resource.
  • Handle, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages daily; prepare outgoing mail as needed.
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area.
  • Provide accurate information and general assistance to members and visitors.
  • Support Benefits Processors and administrative staff with clerical tasks, such as filing, data entry, copying, and scanning, as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.

Work Environment:

This position is based onsite at the Independence office. The role requires regular interaction with members, visitors, and staff in person and by phone.
