IP Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Austin, TX

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join their thriving Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Practice Group in Austin. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases for well-known clients while growing within a collaborative and dynamic team.

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Texas.
  • 3–5 years of substantive IP litigation experience, with a focus on patent litigation.
  • Prior experience at an AmLaw 200 law firm or equivalent required, with a background handling sophisticated IP disputes.
  • Exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to draft complex pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Strong analytical and advocacy skills, with experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a preference for working in the office alongside experienced litigators.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex patent litigation cases, representing clients in high-stakes disputes.
  • Draft and argue motions, develop litigation strategy, and collaborate closely with senior attorneys.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and handle technical expert witness preparation.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial motions and coordinating trial logistics.
  • Work in a collaborative setting with a team of skilled litigators, receiving mentorship and professional development opportunities.
