As our practice continues to expand, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Tax Manager who can step into a leadership role with a clear path for long-term advancement.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, people-first team where you’ll work closely with clients, guide staff, and play a key role in shaping the future of the firm. Our tax work includes a mix of approximately 40% individual and 60% business returns, with clients spanning industries such as construction, manufacturing, real estate, and more.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and review of business and individual tax returns while providing strategic support to the leadership team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

How you will contribute

• Review and prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Provide clear, supportive feedback to staff and help develop their technical skills
• Manage multiple client engagements while delivering exceptional client service
• Meet with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored tax planning and advisory solutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Stay current on tax regulations, procedures, and industry developments
• Participate in internal trainings and contribute to the development of best practices
• Assist with budgeting, billing, and staff planning
• Identify opportunities for new client growth and service expansion
• Support the admin team with return assembly, production, and extension requests
• Monitor outstanding e-file needs and deadlines
• Partner with firm leadership on additional projects as needed

What we need from you

• Minimum 8 years of public accounting experience focused on tax preparation and review (corporate, partnership, and individual)
• At least 2 years of staff supervision experience preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax
• CPA or EA preferred
• Strong background managing multiple client engagements
• Experience advising businesses on tax strategy and accounting best practices
• Proficient with individual, partnership, and corporate tax
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of client service and professionalism
• Solid computer skills; familiarity with CCH Axcess Suite, ProSystem Engagement, tax research tools, and QuickBooks is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common office tools
• A team-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to firm growth

Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually, depending on experience.
