You will be responsible for conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming. You will work closely with other engineers and technical staff. Responsibilities also include providing engineering support for field service technicians and providing technical training at client facilities as needed. Supports the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards. 

Up to 20% domestic travel may be required, international travel is a possibility.

Responsibilities:

• Design, program and troubleshoot industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls. including programming of servo drives (AB).
• Customize program features based on customer specifications.
• Run initial commissioning of machines using the developed program. Debugging any issues that may occur during initial testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
• 2-4 years electrical design experience.
• Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system.
• In-depth understanding of PLC hardware, software platforms, and HMI programming.
• Programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch RexRoth preferred, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.)
