Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished Human Resources professional to take on the role of Director of Human Resources. This position is integral to steering the HR function for our North American operations, focusing on strategic alignment with business objectives and ensuring a robust, compliance-oriented, and performance-driven work environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic HR advisor to senior management, shaping and executing people strategies that align with business goals.
  • Champion change management initiatives by developing and executing comprehensive communication and training programs.
  • Oversee all HR activities, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract top-tier professionals, collaborating with external partners as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies, effectively managing risks and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning with global HR counterparts to ensure talent alignment with organizational needs.
  • Maintain and enhance HR processes to boost efficiency and compliance, while preparing HR metrics for strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a workplace culture that emphasizes transparency, engagement, and positivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification is highly desirable.
  • Over 8 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or business partner capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. labor laws; familiarity with Canadian regulations is a plus.
  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution sectors is preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a knack for problem-solving and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
