Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Project Manager to assist in leading projects in the automotive space from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management in industrial construction methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Planning:

· Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

· Prepare and submit project proposals that support requests for quoting (RFQ's).

· Define project objectives and deliverables that align with business goals.

· Work directly with the customer to establish project parameters.

· Ensure proper safety team member engagement and planning.

· Work with internal Site Superintendent to assure required tools, equipment and materials are defined and available for project execution.

· Team Leadership:

· Support Site Superintendent and field personnel.

· Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.

· Foster a collaborative environment to ensure team engagement and productivity.

· Work with direct team members and subcontractors.

· Stakeholder Communication:

· Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.

· Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

· Coordinate with stakeholders to establish downtime / runtime windows to execute work.

· Risk Management:

· Identify potential project risks / potential safety items and develop mitigation strategies.

· Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.

· Budget Management:

· Manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.

· Track expenditures and report on financial performance.

· Quality Assurance:

· Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

· Conduct project evaluations and assessments post-completion.

· Establish and track continuous improvement items.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in project management, Contruction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a similar role.

· Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to be flexible and make decisions that support the needs of the customer and align with our contractual obligations.

· Self-starter.

· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.).

· PMP or similar certification is a plus.
