Description of Job Duties (Please list major type of duties performed)

1. Troubleshoot tooling, process concerns and chronic machine problems

2. Edit CNC programs

3. Test new products (tooling and work holding)

4. Complete changeovers and/or repair maintenance activities

5. Participate in problem solving

6. Housekeeping of tool room area

7. Cycle time reductions

8. Participate in APQP/PPAP process and implementation of new processes

9. Perform production set ups

10. Reteach robots and assist Engineering in Automation of cells.

11. Assist with training for operators on machining & PM tasks (also New Hire Training if designated)

12. Follow Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)

13.  Comply with all applicable requirements for the Quality and Environmental Systems

14. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping-submit to supervisor or HR Box

15. Other duties as defined by your supervisor

Education: High School (min.)

Type of Degree: None

Experience:  Production, CNC Equipment, Mechanic

Years: 3-5

Proficiency   (List the basic areas of Job Proficiency desired)

1. Set-up and Process troubleshooting

2. Experience in Manufacturing (CNC’s, Grinders, Hob, Shapers & heat treat equipment)

3. CNC programming and Fanuc controls

4. Technical math & mechanical abilities

5. Knowledge and use of tool room equipment

 

 

Additional Information for the CNC Set Up:

CNC Set-up required skills:

-Fanuc controls

-set-up jobs on CNC Lathes/Mills (familiar with workholding – chucks and collets, tool bars)

-read blueprints

-troubleshooting of processes

-GD&T

-carbide inserts and tool geometry

-robot automation (fix faults, servo alarms, teach pendant (create, modify, test a program)

-Have own tools
