As a Facilities Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·        Provide projects and sustaining electrical engineering support at our facilities.

·        Act as one of Intel's System owners of the site's electrical distribution system.

·        Perform sustaining engineering responsibilities.

·        Model the electrical power distribution system and track changes.

·        Troubleshoot electrical system problems conducting breaker coordination and arc flash studies to track electrical load and capacity.

·        Deliver operational efficiency maintenance testing and commissioning solutions identify qualify and implement system upgrades provide technical leadership to 3rd party support respond to power outages and disturbances and lead the recovery effort to participate in cross-site teams.

·        Communicate tactical concepts across a wide range of employees engineering peers to operational technicians to management.

·        Help maintain the facility's document control system by ensuring electrical as-built drawings are incorporated into the master CAD drawings.

·        Ensure the electrical system model is up to date and all construction specifications as built O and M manuals and submittals are received after project closeout.

·        Help maintain and organize the document control storage area for fast retrieval of information drawings specifications manuals etc.

·        Work closely with Project Engineers contractors and engineers on project design and closeout documentation.

·        Coordinate and oversee the work of external consultants for CAD support.

·        Provide design and industrial engineering support on projects.

·        Organize set up and maintain a CAD document control system.

·        Review and approve all electrical designs supporting the facility.

·        Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers architects engineers and contractors on new construction renovation projects.

·        Review electrical design specifications submittals studies and drawings.

·        Possess thorough knowledge of low amp medium voltage electrical distribution systems including transformers low voltage substations generators and UPS systems.

·        Review and challenge cost estimates budgets and ROI analysis to work on multiple projects and issues concurrently.

·        Be an expert on the latest NEC codes.

 

The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

·        Skills to communicate tactical concepts across a wide range of employees engineering peers to operational technicians to management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience in maintenance design and/or operation of electrical switchgear transformers VFDs diesel generators static rotary UPS and/or low voltage distribution equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Knowledge of:

o   Easy Power or SKM software.

o   Computer software such as Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.

o   The National Electric Code (NEC) NFPA-79 for industrial Manufacturing Machinery, EN/IEC 60204 (International electrical code) UL 61010-1 and UL 61010-2.

 

Daily Physical Demands:

·        Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

·        Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds and bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

·        Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, squat, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

·        Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

·        Must be able to visually inspect machines.

·        Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

·        Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the job site in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

·        Must be able to traverse wet, slippery, unsteady, irregular, narrow, vibrating, or moving surfaces.

·        Site-specific physical and safety requirements may apply.
