There is never a cost for our services!Growing automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to work within their quality engineering team and be assigned to a specific customer base. The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for any quality issues
- Determine root cause of quality issues and create countermeasures
- Oversee quality related to new model launches
- Complete control plans
- Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns
- Assist with PPAP and APQP documentation
- Utilize formal problem solving techniques
- Assist with internal and external supplier audits
- Improve and maintain compliance goals related to ISO 9001
- Other quality engineering tasks as assigned
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, work on multiple tasks and be hands on. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 25-30% of their day. Individuals should have excellent floor communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with front line associates. It is required that candidates have good presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field OR Associate's degree with 2-3 years of experience OR a high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role2. Experienced candidates should have quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally an automotive supplier 3. Experience assisting with or leading root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures 4. Formal problem solving skills
5. Willing to travel up to 15% of the time, including potential for international travel to Canada and Mexico 6. Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelSkills preferred but NOT required:1. Supplier quality engineering experience2. New model activity3. Quality certifications (CQE, CQT, etc.)4. Experience working with Class A automotive surfaces
