International chemical manufacturer is seeking their next Plant Manager to oversee direct and indirect reports in this dynamic, specialty facility. You will inspire your staff to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets and work to continuously improve the plant. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Goal Achievement: Lead the Site Leadership Team, responsible for setting, communicating, and tracking specific, measurable goals (KPIs) for the site. Drive accountability across the organization to ensure targets are met, reporting progress to both management and staff.

Financial Stewardship and Operational Excellence: Oversee the successful implementation and achievement of financial objectives, including operating and capital budgets. Implement robust IT and control systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and sound financial structures. Continuously analyze operations and processes to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, keeping management informed of progress.

Compliance, Quality, and EHS Management: Ensure strict adherence to all regulations, company policies, and relevant ISO standards, collaborating with other departments as necessary. Develop, implement, and improve comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), including conducting regular hazard assessments and audits. Proactively track EHS issues, ensuring timely corrective actions, and lead incident investigations to share valuable lessons learned. Oversee regular EHS training, maintain documentation, and manage emergency response plans.

Departmental Leadership and Staff Development: Provide strong leadership and management to key departments such as Administration, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and EHS. Ensure that all projects within these departments are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages continuous staff development.

General Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall site operations and objectives.
The company is seeking a candidate that enjoys spending up to 10-15% of their day on the manufacturing floor. Candidates should be able to take ownership of their plant, lead by example, coach and mentor their staff and infuse energy and excitement into the daily operations of the facility. Qualified individuals will have the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, work under pressure and have a strong ability to solve problems and improve processes. Candidates with plant turnaround experience will excel in this role. The ability to hold others accountable is critical.

REQUIREMENTS for the Plant Manager:1. Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, operations, chemistry or supply chain
2. At least two years of similar manufacturing operations management experience
3. Experience overseeing others in a blending/mixing manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical, pharmaceutical, coating, food, beverage, etc.
4. Experience overseeing multiple facets of manufacturing (production, maintenance, engineering, quality, etc.)
5. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
6. Non-union operations management
7. Working knowledge of P&L
8. ERP experience
9. Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:1. SAP
2. Experience working in turnaround situations
3. Power BI
4. Master's degree
