Product/Project Engineer Perrysburg, OH Salary dependent on years of experience and education plus bonus structure and medical, dental and vision benefits

Bonuses are paid out here at a target of 10%

This position could be for you!Due to a retirement, manufacturer is seeking a Product/Project Engineer to lead diverse engineering tasks.  The Product/Project Engineer will report to the Operations Manager and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Focus on product development, including improving current processes and product lines 
  • Troubleshoot processing problems utilizing root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures 
  • Investigate lots, monitor the process and make improvements on quality issues or defects 
  • Manage capital and facility projects, including overseeing budgets and timelines 
  • Communicate with customers on technical issues and (eventually) represent the company as the technical expert
  • Improve the process by identifying scrap reductions or efficiency improvements 
  • Research and source new and/or improved raw materials
  • Maintain ISO compliance and complete internal audits as needed 
  • Present engineering findings to company stakeholders 
  • Work with external agent representative on customer inquiries, manufacturability and quoting
  • Attend trade shows, representing the company and product line 
  • Other duties as directed by management

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; materials, ceramic, chemical or electrical preferred 2. At least 5-8 years in a similar manufacturing engineering position3. Experience working in batching, blending or formulating manufacturing environments 4. Experience with diverse engineering tasks, including project, process, CI, quality, etc. 5. Willingness to travel internationally 
6. Microsoft Office, including Microsoft ExcelSkills preferred but NOT required:1. Customer communication 2. Glass and/or plastics experience 3. PLCs and/or robotic experience 
4. SolidWorks
