JOB TITLE: Tax ManagerOFFICE LOCATION: Long Island, NYPLEASE NOTE: All interviews are kept confidential.SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join my client's team who is one of the largest and most renowned companies in the industry! The Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the tax compliance, planning, and accounting for income taxes. We are looking for a qualified individual who has expertise in planning for pass-through entities that cater to high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Stay current with changes in tax legislation
Conduct thorough research on corporate, individual, and state taxes
Prepare federal and state income tax returns including analysis and support
Manage audits of federal and state tax income
Develop strategic tax planning initiatives
Communicate frequently with operating management regarding tax issues
Collaborate with accounting staff to address any tax accounting matters
Maintain strong relationships with clients
Provide valuable business recommendations to clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master's degree in taxation preferred.
Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Enrolled Agent certification.
Strong experience with corporate and individual tax returns.
Experience with compliance is preferred.
Audit experience is preferred but not required.
Seven or more years of related tax consulting experience.
Experience with Partnership and Trust returns.
Estate and Gift Tax returns experience is preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the ideal candidate should possess:
Knowledge of S Corp returns is preferred.
Experience training and developing staff members.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting all deadlines.
