We are seeking a driven and technically inclined Sales Engineer to join our partner's growing team in the industrial capital equipment space. This is a field-based, business-to-business (B2B) sales role focused on identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with OEMs, job shops, and contract manufacturers. The Sales Engineer will present CNC machinery, metal fabrication systems, and robotic welding solutions to prospects within assigned territories. This position combines technical consulting with strategic sales, serving as a trusted advisor to manufacturing customers who depend on precision machinery to drive production. The ideal candidate thrives in a customer-facing environment, understands industrial manufacturing processes, and has a passion for helping clients find the right technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective customers in the manufacturing sector.
  • Conduct on-site visits to present product offerings, perform technical demonstrations, and consult on customer applications.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and quoting to closing and post-sale support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, plant managers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with applications engineers and internal teams to deliver optimal solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements in CNC, automation, and robotic welding.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and technical seminars.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, industrial equipment sales, or manufacturing/engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a consultative sales environment, ideally involving capital equipment or automation solutions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand CNC and fabrication processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently in a remote, territory-based role.
  • Comfortable discussing financial terms, ROI analysis, and value-based selling.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD or CAM software is a plus.
