Legal Assistant – Mid-Sized Dallas Law Firm
Our client, a well-respected mid-sized law firm in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience as a legal secretary or assistant in a law firm setting. They are looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional who can effectively support attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
Administrative Tasks – Answer and direct telephone calls promptly, take messages, and follow up as needed. Prepare and track packages and mail using the most efficient delivery method.
Calendar Management – Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, deadlines, and court dates, and provide timely reminders.
Client Communication – Answer and direct phone calls, manage email correspondence, and assist in coordinating client meetings.
Case & File Management – Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and properly stored.
Billing & Expense Tracking – Assist in time entry, pre-bill review, and processing attorney expense reports.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm as a legal assistant or secretary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal document management software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts is a plus.
