Controller – Dallas Law Firm

Our Client, a well-established law firm in Dallas is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting operations and financial reporting. This full-time role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and detailed reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and year-end financial statements.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile the General Ledger.
  • Prepare reports for Line of Credit management.
  • Oversee credit card reconciliations and client settlement disbursements.
  • Supervise accounting team members, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare year-end financials for external tax accountants.

Qualifications & Skills

  • CPA certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience (legal industry experience is a plus).
  • Proven management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet strict deadlines.
