Our client, a Dallas law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience supporting litigation attorneys in a fast-paced law firm environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
File legal documents electronically with federal and state courts (e-filing)
Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical
Manage attorneys’ calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses
Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and outside counsel
Perform general office duties including time entry and billing assistance
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary in a law firm setting
Strong knowledge of federal and Texas state court rules and procedures
Proficiency with e-filing systems (e.g., PACER, ECF, and state e-filing portals)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), document management systems, and legal billing software
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines
A proactive and professional attitude with a commitment to client service
