Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Trusts & Estates to join their prestigious law firm in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has a strong background in estate law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and proofreading legal documents related to estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate proceedings.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of probate documents, trust administration materials, and court pleadings.
  • Maintain and organize case files, client records, and legal documents with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and client appointments.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and external parties regarding case updates and documentation requirements.
  • Conduct legal research as needed and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage attorney calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and case progression.
  • Assist in the preparation of estate inventories, accountings, and asset distribution documentation.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as billing, correspondence, and office coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Trusts & Estates within a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate procedures, and trust administration.
  • Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Notary Public certification is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience ($65,000 to $80,000).
