VP Administration

Salary Range: 165k/yr - 180k/yr

 

The VP of Administration position will be responsible for the administrative oversight of the organization. The duties include process, policy, and execution with human resources, finance, security, compliance, and facilities teams. The primary duty the VP of Administration is to ensure all activities are done effectively and efficiently so that all other company operations will function well.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience, including oversight of diverse operational functions
  • Military leadership experience equivalent to ranks O4-O6 or GS14-GS15; Strong understanding of mission-focused operational frameworks.
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Highly motivated by the mission and finding great meaning in the work
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

 

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the defense industry, including an understanding of DoD operations
  • Start-up or small-team experience during a growth phase, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with contracting, acquisitions, and resource management in a military or defense context

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and work side by side with a team of experts
  • Delegate tasks within HR, Finance, IT, and Facilities and monitor daily operations
  • Lead, guide, and mentor administrative staff in their tasks and functions.
  • Assess and evaluate existing methods and functions and develop necessary processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies across the organization
  • Act as a liaison between employees and upper management when it comes to financial and administrative issues
  • Create processes that streamline workflow.
  • Track, monitor, and document performance of each individual on your team
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement policies and develop improvements
  • Organize and coordinate inter- and intradepartmental operations
  • Oversee resource allocation and budgeting
  • Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance
  • Hire and onboard new managers
  • Resolve issues that may arise in a timely manner
  • Assume responsibility for timely reporting to senior management or regulatory agencies
  • Assist in other tasks as assigned
 
Working Conditions:
 
  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, or machine shop environment
  • Travel and local commute between AimLock offices and remote test sites, and other possible non-AimLock locations may be required

  • Daily work environment and noise level is that of a standard office
  • Occasionally you may experience, or be in the vicinity of, a noise level consistent with awarehouse work environment
