Our client is seeking a passionate and results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives at their injection molding manufacturing facility. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, reducing waste, improving efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Strategy
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with company goals.
    • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable results.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish KPIs and performance metrics.
  2. Process Optimization
    • Identify and analyze inefficiencies in production, quality, and supply chain processes specific to injection molding.
    • Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis to address bottlenecks and implement solutions.
    • Optimize mold changeover processes to reduce downtime and increase machine utilization.
  3. Training & Development
    • Conduct training sessions for employees at all levels on Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and problem-solving techniques.
    • Develop a culture of continuous improvement by empowering employees to identify opportunities and implement changes.
  4. Data-Driven Improvement
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, establish baselines, and monitor the impact of improvement initiatives.
  5. Sustainability & Compliance
    • Ensure all continuous improvement initiatives comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
    • Promote sustainable manufacturing practices to reduce waste and energy consumption.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding.
    • Proven track record of leading Lean and Six Sigma projects (certification preferred: Green Belt, Black Belt, or Lean Sensei).
    • Experience with injection molding equipment, materials, and process troubleshooting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis software and ERP/MES systems.
