Job Description:
Our client, a Dallas area law firm, is seeking a highly organized and efficient Branch Law Office Manager to oversee daily operations, with a focus on Human Resources (HR) and Billing. The ideal candidate will have experience in office management, HR functions, and legal billing practices. As the Law Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the team with administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources (HR):
· Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for legal staff and support staff.
· Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
· Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence management.
· Coordinate performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and employee training and development.
· Resolve employee issues and concerns and serve as a liaison between staff and management.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Billing and Financial Management:
· Manage the firm’s billing cycle for the branch office, including timekeeping and invoicing.
· Create and issue client invoices in a timely manner, adhering to the firm's billing structure.
Office Operations:
· Manage day-to-day administrative functions, including office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
· Implement and enforce office policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in law office management, human resources, and billing preferred
· Previous experience working in a law firm required
· Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and legal billing software
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal billing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).
· Experience in legal-specific billing software and time tracking systems.
