Lead Process Engineer – PET Plastics (Thermoforming & Extrusion)

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Aleader in custom thermoformed sustainable PET food packaging, is seeking a high-level Lead Process Engineer to join our team in Etobicoke. This senior role is critical to advancing innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in our PET extrusion and thermoforming operations.

As Lead Process Engineer, you will oversee and optimize PET resin handling, sheet extrusion, and thermoforming processes, ensuring high efficiency, top product quality, and compliance with industry regulations. You will drive continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, throughput, energy efficiency, and sustainability, while mentoring technical staff and collaborating across supply chain, quality, and operations.

Key Qualifications

You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across production, supply chain, quality, HR, and leadership to identify

    improvement opportunities, modernize our ways of working, and help build a high-performing and adaptable manufacturing culture. Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced environment. This is full time position.

  • 10+ years of process engineering experience.

  • Strong technical expertise in PET sheet extrusion and thermoforming operations

  • Proven record with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives

  • Familiarity with food packaging regulations (FDA, CFIA, CSA, OHSA)

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
