Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a junior-level Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney to join their nationally-recognized practice in Silicon Valley, Santa Monica, or Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to advise market-leading technology and life sciences companies on complex privacy issues, regulatory compliance, and data security matters.
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligibility to sit for/waive into the next bar exam.
2–4 years of substantive experience in healthcare privacy and general privacy law at a law firm or in-house legal department.
Deep understanding of healthcare privacy laws, including HIPAA, CMIA, Washington My Health My Data Act, and Nevada SB 370.
Knowledge of U.S. and international privacy laws, such as CCPA, GDPR, GLBA, FCRA, COPPA, and the FTC Act.
Experience drafting privacy policies, compliance documents, and data processing agreements (BAAs, DPAs, DUAs).
Experience advising clients on privacy-related product development, conducting compliance assessments, and handling data security incidents.
Strong analytical, communication, and client management skills.
Advise technology and life sciences clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection laws in the U.S. and internationally.
Draft and negotiate privacy-related contracts, including data processing agreements, business associate agreements, and user consent forms.
Assist clients in navigating healthcare privacy regulations, including human subjects research and digital health compliance.
Counsel clients on data collection, use, disclosure, and security practices for consumer, employee, financial, and health information.
Provide strategic guidance on incident response, breach notification, and regulatory investigations.
Work closely with corporate, M&A, and litigation teams to support transactions and compliance matters.

The firm offers highly competitive compensation, with salaries ranging from $235,000 to $310,000, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities to earn discretionary performance-based bonuses.
