COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking a highly-motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Chicago. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a wide-range of civil litigation matters involving cutting-edge topics and sophisticated, interesting clients.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in Illinois.

  • 3+ years of substantive civil litigation experience, including commercial, professional liability, products liabilityinsurance defense/coverageclass actionstortsbreach of contract/warranty, and/or personal injury.

  • Labor & employment experience is advantageous.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Desire to be part of a busy national practice, demonstrating initiative and the ability to assume responsibility for matters.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a large, collaborative team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters across various practice areas.

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on risk mitigation and dispute resolution.

  • Work closely with clients to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $115,000 – $190,000, as determined by experience and market factors
  • Bonus eligibility
